The International Business Consulting Convention 2020 – IBCConvention – is a convention of Consultants, both Companies and Independents, with representatives and attendants from different consulting groups, boutiques and international institutions.
IBCC 2019 is the place where all participants connect with consulting peers, explore new consulting opportunities and new alliances are made so that everyone wins.

Oporto Overview

Considered the best European destination both in 2017 and 2019, Oporto is a charming city, recently ranked as the second best city to visit in the world.

The city of Oporto is the second most populous city in Portugal. It is an unique territory rich in history, home of traditions, memories and great identities. It stands out for its particular architecture, the streets full of colors and sounds and for its gastronomy full of flavors.

It is internationally renowned for its wine – the famous Port Wine from the Douro’s Demarcated Region – and its historical center was classified as World Heritage by Unesco.

One of the most emblematic elements of the city is the Douro river, which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. It was by the Douro river that the wine from Alto Douro’s region, considered by UNESCO in 2001 as a World Heritage Site in the category of landscape culture, was transported to the cellars, located in both Oporto and Vila Nova de Gaia.

There are currently 6 bridges crossing the Douro River, connecting Oporto to Vila Nova de Gaia.

The city breathes joy in every corner, it has a vibrant cultural scene and has been the birth place of several startups and companies. Art and joviality are synonymous of Oporto city.

    What is the official language?

    The official language of the Convention is English.

    Which travel documents will I need?

    Please note that you may need a Visa to enter Portugal (European Union), depending on your nationality, in addition to other travel documents. For confirmation of the requirements for your country, visit the Schengen Visa Info https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/portugal-visa/ .

    Can I get a letter of invitation?

    If needed, Official invitations may be obtained to facilitate participants attempting to acquire visas or consulate permissions to attend the Convention. (Schengen visa https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/portugal-visa/). Please send your request by e-mail to info@ibcc.com and provide:

    • your full name as it appears on your passport
    • your nationality
    • your date of birth
    • your affiliation
    • a copy of your passport
    • Application for the invitation letters must be received by 30 days prior to the venue

    Is any coverage provided while I am in IBCConvention?

    The convention cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, damage, accident to private property or additional expenses incurred as a result of delays or changes in air, rail, sea, road or other services, strikes, sickness, weather or any other cause. Participants are, accordingly, advised to take out their own insurance.

    Do I get a refund in case of no-showing?

    The no-showing will not be refunded.
